GPs think pink for breast cancer

GPs think pink for breast cancer

Well done and thank you from BreastScreen WA to all the general practices and health centres that participated in the 2019 Health Promotion in the Practice initiative in October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.

This was the 19th year that BreastScreen WA has organised this successful activity with general practices and health centres across WA. It is an opportunity for general practices to think pink for breast cancer, which now affects 1 in 7 women in Australia.

See a selection of the wonderful efforts made by GP practices.

Special congratulations to winner North Street Medical Centre, Midland and special mentions to 2nd and 3rd place Ocean Village Medical Centre, Wembley Downs and Seville Drive Medical Centre.

It was heartening to see all the feedback from participants saying how much the practice staff, and their patients, enjoyed being involved.

We hope the 2020 campaign will be even bigger and brighter!
