BreastScreen WA not only had a booth at the Expo, but the mobile screening unit Boronia was on-site to screen willing visitors. This huge team effort of radiographers, administrative staff and health promotion staff led to 169 women screening over the weekend. Survey data showed that the convenience of having the mobile clinic on-site to screen while at the Expo was the biggest reason why women chose to screen at the Expo, and for many it was their first time. Overall, nearly 300 women were booked, whether that was for the mobile unit, or at a permanent clinic closer to home.
