GP Upskilling in Breast Diseases – Clinical Observer

For over 20 years, BreastScreen WA has been helping GPs keep up to date with their skills and knowledge in breast diseases. One of the initiatives involves GPs attending one or more breast clinics at a metropolitan tertiary hospital (RPH, SCGH and FSH) as a clinical observer.

GPs will observe and network with multiple sub-specialists who together make multidisciplinary decisions regarding recommended treatment for individual patients.

Participation will provide an opportunity for GPs to further understand the breast disease assessment process at the Breast Clinic, including the follow-up of BreastScreen WA clients, the use of appropriate breast imaging, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
