Health Promotion in the Practice

Would your practice like to promote Breast Cancer Awareness month in October? Here’s how...

BreastScreen WA (BSWA) is seeking your support in promoting breast cancer awareness in October. It is an opportunity for GPs to promote the importance of breast awareness and breast screening to their patients, with the aim of detecting breast cancer early.

General Practices are encouraged to order resources using our new online resource order form.

We would also like to promote our new online referral form which GPs can fill in digitally and print to give to their patients. Although a referral is not technically required for screening with BreastScreen WA, a referral from a trusted GP can be a great motivator for patients to get this important health check.

Decorate your clinics for the cause, take photos and share on social media. If you would like to be featured on BreastScreen WA social media accounts, please email photos of your decorated clinic to breastscreenwa@health.wa.gov.au
