  • Show Up Campaign launch breaking down barriers to screening 10 October 2025 Show Up campaign launch breaks down screening barriers This month, as part ofBreast Cancer Awareness Month, we launched a powerful campaign that speaks directly to thebarriersmany women face when it comes to screening— fear of pain,lack of time, and misconceptions around family history.This campaign is told through the experience of three brave women. The message to WA women is simple: Show Up! Show up for yourselves, Show up for those who love you. Show up and put your health first. We have a dedicated campaign landing pagewhere women are encouraged to get the facts of breast health. It includes an FAQ and a ‘what to expect’ overview during a mammogram.   • New clinic opens in East Perth 13 December 2020 BreastScreen WA has opened its newest clinic at 63 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth. East Perth - Mardalup Clinic is the first BreastScreen clinic in Australia to be co-named with a traditional Aboriginal designation. Mardalup is a Noongar name and was selected in consultation with local Aboriginal Elders and the Western Australian Museum as this was the traditional name of the location of the new clinic. East Perth - Mardalup Clinic will replace Perth City Clinic on Murray Street which permanently closed on 27 November 2020 after 25 years of service. A launch was held on Friday 13 November officiated by the Hon. Alanna Therese Clohesy MLC and the clinic opened to the public for screening on Monday 7 December 2020.   • BSWA Christmas and New Year 2020 closures 23 November 2020 Office and clinic closing dates The BSWA mobile units finish screening on Friday 18 December 2020. The last screening day for fixed clinics is Wednesday 23 December 2020. All clinics re-open on Monday 4 January 2021. Call centre hours The call centre is only closed on the public holidays. The call centre is open for bookings with reduced hours on Thursday 24 December (8am to 4pm), then from 9am to 4pm Tuesday 29 – 31 December 2020.   • Two new breast cancer clinics to provide better access and care 07 October 2020 Media statement - Wednesday 7 October 2020 Health Minister Roger Cook today announced two new breast cancer clinics to help thousands of women in Western Australia. A permanent BreastScreen WA clinic is set to open in Albany, as well as a new screening and assessment centre in Perth's northern suburbs.     BreastScreen WA resumes full service 07 May 2020 All of BreastScreen WA permanent clinics located at: Bunbury Cannington Cockburn Mandurah Midland Mirrabooka Perth City (Murray Street and David Jones Rose Clinic) Wanneroo Padbury Rockingham are now open. One of our mobile screening units is based in Armadale at Haynes Shopping Centre, Cnr Eighth Ave & Armadale Rd and is also open now through to 29 May. BreastScreen WA’s other mobile screening units are scheduled to resume country screening in June 2020.
